Ep 61: Is Your Holistic Healthcare Provider Making You a Permanent Patient?

May 28, 2026

In this LIVE session, Margaret Jacobson, The Mother Rising, pulls back the curtain on the “protocol trap” that keeps women stuck in a cycle of endless appointments, expensive supplements, and invasive treatments that fail to deliver true healing. 🧠✨ What happens when the goal of a practitioner is no longer to help you heal, but to keep you compliant with a never-ending protocol? Using a real-life client story as a catalyst, we deconstruct the “expert” myth and the “good patient” script that convinces us to ignore our own womb wisdom in favor of standardized medical procedures. This is a call to practitioners and clients alike to re-orient toward Health Creation—where the ultimate success is a woman who no longer needs the system to tell her she is well.

Episode 61 – Is Your Holistic Healthcare Provider Making You a Permanent Patient_

Speaker: [00:00:00] Welcome everybody Ah, it’s Margaret, the Mother Rising with Yin-care®. I hope you guys are doing well tonight. I got so upset and angry, and I just had been meaning to do some lives and I thought, “What better time than when I’ve got, like, a huge passion in my heart to share [00:01:00] something with all of you?” So, um, yeah, I had a session with a beautiful woman today and, um, it…

We have a new type of appointment called the Heart to Heart, mostly for women who are using Yin-care®’s herbal wash and have questions, and for those of you who don’t know about what the herbal wash is, but it is generally used as a vaginal wash to deal with damp, damp heat, or toxic heat conditions.

And in those conditions, women can get things like HPV or… That, that would be more of a toxic heat or bacterial vaginosis or yeast infections. So sometimes they need a little bit of a girlfriend’s guide or a loving hand in how to use it or, which is what I’m going to cover tonight, which is you would not believe what women go through in dealing with vaginal issues, which is why it segues into what we’re doing with Yin-care® so nicely, which is [00:02:00] really helping women to step back into their own powerful space, in their own womb wisdom to make choices for themselves in their healthcare.

And what I am really have a fire under me tonight to share is that I’m just… I’ve had it, absolutely had it with hearing these stories of women who have been to… they’ve already gone through Western medical systems, and they’ve received terrible care, or their situation has gotten worse, right?

They finally decide that they’re gonna reach out. They’re gonna take charge. They’re gonna go to someone outside of that Western medical model, right, and get help, and yet what happens is the same thing. They are completely disempowered by the system. So I wanted to just kind of go through a handful of things that really are upsetting, and I want to encourage all of the other healthcare practitioners who may fall into [00:03:00] this category to listen up and to all of you women out there who are looking for a care provider to be mindful of these things.

And we really need to flip the paradigm. And one of the things that I like to kind of come back to is just knowing that in historical days in Chinese… in China- the doctors were paid when patients were well. So, and, and you may or may not have heard that or know that fact, but that is the truth, and that’s really the goal.

That i- it… We have been in a toxic environment here living here on our beautiful planet Earth, sadly. Our bodies have become these sort of toxic cesspools in many ways, and we are struggling to, you know, get out of that. And so in order to do that, you know, we do need some help, but how do we find good help, [00:04:00] right?

So yeah, this particular woman had received protocols, first of all, that were c- incredibly impossible to follow and were hugely expensive, and re- not just for the actual visits, but the actual, supplements and a- and such were ridiculously expensive. So we really need to be mindful of people’s pocketbooks.

Like, their pocketbook is part of their overall health. So I’m not saying that we can’t ask… And this is the message to the practitioners, because I do have practitioners following this network as well. Y- you just need to be mindful. Like, make it affordable and make it reasonable, and hold yourself accountable.

If they’re not getting well, it’s okay to say, “This isn’t working for you. You need to go somewhere else, or you need to…” Think of the paradigm as that the patient or the [00:05:00] client needs to be in control of that, and they need to be reminded that it’s their choice to stay or not.

Now, oftentimes they may be at a, in a state of imbalance where that makes it very difficult for them to make any kind of decision, and that’s why ethically, it’s really important for anyone who’s acting in a practitioner capacity, even as coaches, that we sort of offload them and gift them, gift that to them if that’s not the right fit, if they’re not getting well.

So in this sort of idea that we are con- conditioned to trust, right, the white coat- We’re also conditioned in that same way when we move over to the care providers that are outside of the Western medical system. So people are still approaching their care provider as somebody that has more knowledge than they do, [00:06:00] and it is a tricky balance in, in assessing for yourself what you need to get from that care provider.

Can they provide it for you or not? Or is your intuition going to tell you what you really need to know? And have that conversation with yourself. Really open that up. Yeah, and calling out just the insanity of this sort of kitchen sink approach of just throwing everything at somebody, all of these different supplements that may or may not work, and you have to take this amount of that and that kind of this, and it can only be given at this time of day or with this food or whatever.

I mean, I understand that there are… And I know that in our clinic when we’re working with the microbiome, the– there are a lot of protocols. But by God, I know that my husband, Dr. Daniel Hudson, makes it somewhat doable thinking about your lifestyle. Like, work [00:07:00] with your patients around the lifestyle that they have.

Don’t make it impossible. They have to have some success. And let’s see. Yeah, so the goal shift really needs to be for a sovereign practitioner to really help the client not need them anymore And that’s really tricky because a lot of the protocols even that care providers outside of the Western medical model have are based on traditional marketing models that are business models.

That’s how holistic care drove up, like, the drive for holistic care actually became s- so big that even Western medical models wanted to implement it and integrate it in different ways, is because it was being driven just like a regular business. But this… Remember, this is [00:08:00] healthcare, and this is where people have forgotten.

Like, when I was in school for my master’s in health services administration, we had to take an ethics class. Like, okay, and then you have to think about, like, do you have a conflict of interest? Like, h- are you making money off the products that you’re selling, or are you providing them at least at a reasonable price?

I know on the products that we offer in our clinic, the markup is on the products is standard and not above, not below standard. But on all of our labs, we barely mark them up, whereas some places will mark them up ridiculous. I mean, we have to make it affordable for people. So yes, keep that in mind.

Also, yeah. Th- the industry basically keeps women bonded to a system of the well-woman surveillance endless follow-ups, which is crazy. We’re trying to get out [00:09:00] of this mode of protocols and procedures and your yearly well-check appointments and why do you necessarily need those?

Because you are your own best primary care doctor. You know your body best over anyone, right? So we’re, I have been attempting to try and pull people back into this new reality through these medical indoctrination series. And, but, but even so, y- when you step into this, again, this other care provider system which is outside of the Western medical model, you can oftentimes be blindsided by, again, this sort of well-woman surveillance.

Like, they’re gonna just keep checking on you, and keep checking on you, and you need to come back for this, and you need to come back for that. I mean, that’s, that’s insane. That’s not doable. It’s not honoring. It’s not honoring the patient or the [00:10:00] client for their intuitive wisdom about their own health.

Like, for, for God sakes, give them some credit, and, and if they need a break from the protocol, like, for I don’t know, the, just to get a grip on their own intuition, then those kinds of things need to be discussed. That’s the important part. You need a team. You need people to need to be working together on behalf of the patient/client to be making steps forward.

And, and the patient drives that. The patient drives that. It is their choice. Their choices that need to be honored. And it’s not to say, like, you can have your recommendations, but certainly don’t berate them also for choosing something else. Explain to them it’s, it is up to them. Explain to them, give them all the tools that they need as far as understanding that based [00:11:00] on your deep knowledge of X, Y, or Z, that if they don’t do these things or if they do do these things, that things should go correctly.

And if they falter, I know that, like, I know because my husband does this in the clinic. You… There are some situations where you really, if you want to make these strides forward, if you want that outcome, you have to be diligent. And yet at the same time, there has to be a real coming together about what the reality is for the patient.

So just, it’s, it is the art of medicine, right? The art of practicing medicine. And for patients, like, own, own yourself and own your responsibility in that. You don’t get to blame the practitioner for things anymore. If you, if they, if you have agreed that you’re on board, then freaking do, [00:12:00] do the work. Do the work.

And if you’ve done the work and you’re not getting better, come back and have that conversation, and let’s have it be reasonable. Okay. Let’s see. So it’s also important that the practitioner needs to be mindful that, that patients coming out of a Western medical model have this inner good cop. Like they want to be good.

They want to say all of the right things that they’re supposed to do or not. Sometimes they nod and they’re not understanding. It’s your job, it is your job to wake them up and help them understand their co-creative responsibility in creating their health, so that they, they are not just policing themselves to say yes to everything Okay, let me just check over here.

All righty. And also, like we, you know, just to be mindful if you are in a practice or you’re [00:13:00] participating in a practice as a patient where there’s just a lot of different tests to keep monitoring everything, really reflect… I mean, think about the tests. And again, this is, y- you know, coming out of a Western medical model, there are so many tests that are being done that are constant surveillance.

So part of it is coming out of that model and, and as a patient, as owning your, your your health, do you need that, you know, do you need that test done or not? And it’s up to you, and how do you communicate that to your care provider that you are choosing not to have it? These are complex, like communication issues, and I will be offering a course on this, on how to work with your healthcare provider, how to start taking back your own sovereign health creation journey into your own [00:14:00] hands.

But, if you think about it, this is not, this is not like just a little thing, right? This is, these are a lot of really big topics. And for women, like reclaiming your sovereignty through your womb wisdom over standard protocols. Your body is intelligent and re- and again, it is not a billable risk profile, and that is in, you know, really in the Western medical model.

But it, you have to be mindful if, if anyone is making money off you, if you are getting services recurrently for something, you need to be in touch with how you’re monitoring the improvement. Are you noticing it in yourself? Is there a certain test procedure that is showing that you can rely on that is giving you evidence that’s showing you?

And ideally we, we will come back into our own intuition and know that intuitively. That is the goal. That’s [00:15:00] what we want at Yin-care. We want you to be back in touch with your own womb wisdom so that you know what you need. And for now, in order to build that trusting relationship with your body, sometimes you do need to see physical evidence results of a test of something that’s showing you But just don’t keep giving your power away, you know?

But again, this is your responsibility. You have to also own the fact that if you choose not to take the test and things are not improving, maybe getting worse even according to you, you, you get to own that. You get to own that. Not you have to own that, but you get to own that. That is the beauty of being human.

It is our free will choice that we get to embody here while we’re on planet Earth. This is the, the play that we get, and in it in all of its beauty, whatever that is. So oh my gosh. Let’s see. So [00:16:00] yeah, I just wanted to really, gosh, just kind of rant about how upsetting that is for me to see when care providers just are offering protocols that are obscene.

And so, I mean, I was so angry hearing about it, and I was so upset. You know, women, women are, in my opinion, that’s why I’m here, they are the change-makers. It’s not to say that men aren’t the change-makers, but women are the change-makers for that household, for their families. Their womb anchors everybody in.

And so as women come back into their own best health and start to own their health through their own health creation journey, through connecting with their inner womb wisdom, they pass that on to their kids, to their siblings, to their, you know, brothers and [00:17:00] sisters, to their families, to their colleagues.

They, through their community, they are really helping the ecosystem reestablish itself, the ecosystem of us human beings here on the planet coming back into our highest frequency so that we can live harmoniously with the planet. So it’s not just that we’re improving our own health, we are actually improving the health of the planet at the same time.

I know I’ve said that before in other things, but just to remind you. And yeah, so that’s my message for today. I really just wanted to force myself to come on and say a few things about what was on my heart and why I’m passionate about this and how this is just unacceptable. We just can’t be letting this happen, and it happens on both ends, both for the practitioner and for the patient.

So let’s [00:18:00] please come together, come back into your hearts. If you are a woman and you are needing a little helping hand, I don’t always advertise this, but I am available through… There, there are different types of, of Womb Wisdom sessions on the yincare.com website. But the easiest, quickest one is that 30-minute, $60 heart-to-heart consult, which is fabulous if you’ve been going through any kind of vaginal issues or womb health issues, and you just feel like you’re at the end of your rope.

I’m sort of like that, that helping hand and, and sisterly love and wise woman guidance. I’ve had my own health experiences. I’ve talked to thousands of women that have gone through this. And I’ve got a lot to say, and I will really help you make your next best choices and help you see how you can step into your own womb [00:19:00] wisdom and intuition and health creation journey.

So Until next time, ladies and gentlemen, if you are there, honor yourself, celebrate your strength, empower your transformation, and empower yourself. Make sure you understand that you are empowering yourself. I am not doing the empowering. You are stepping into your own power, and you’re doing this through your own Yin-care®.

All right. Have a beautiful evening
