It is already 2014 on the other side of the world. So Happy New Year to all of you over there! Being that I am currently in Colorado, it is still several hours away.
As many of us approach a New Year, it’s a wonderful time to reflect and also look forward. 2013 was a slow and steady year. Some challenges, a few surprises, but not too rocky. And there was movement forward in a lovely quiet sort of way.
I can feel a more rapid movement in the ether though right now. I haven’t quite felt so much excitement around New Years in a very long time. Over the past several days, people I don’t even know have stopped to wish me a Happy New Year. I have also noticed that people’s attention has been heightened to see things differently. For example, twice at the airport, on the same day, I had two different security officers notice the flower I had in my hair in my California Driver’s license picture. No one has EVER commented on it.
Now this may seem like hocus pocus to you, but what I do know is that when I have followed closely the cycles of the moon and some astrological movements, that I have been able to witness the affects they have had on my mind and body. I am NOT always tuned into the details of what is going on…life is busy; however, over the past week I have felt tremendous waves that have caused feelings of a purging of sadness from deep within my body.
I had the opportunity to take time to get several nights of deep sleep and baths in nice hot salted water which I believe have assisted in my being able to allow the sadness to move through and out of my body’s holding.
In reflecting on the aspects of the Super Moon that falls on tomorrow’s New Moon, it seems that these clearings and purgings match well with what seems to be happening cosmically. Any time I can work to flow with nature, I find that my life tends to align. I would encourage you to consider taking some type of time or space to harmonize with this seemingly powerful new moon.
We are also privileged to have a Super Moon on the Full Moon of this month on Jan. 30th. Seems to me that we are setting up for a really powerful transition into a New Year. Look forward to moving through it with all of you!
