I am divinely gifted with the most incredible daughter. There are so many pieces of the relationship I have with Carly that are beautiful and special and truly sacred. She gifted me her birth where I was able to finally fully stand in my own power and witness and see myself and FEEL myself experience birth in all of its beautiful fullness.
Carly and I sat down together over 4th of July weekend this summer and did our second Conversations with Carly and within that she really wanted to focus on the fact that she has been in a fast pace of changing. I remember being 21. I got my butterfly tatoo at 21 to also channel this wisdom of constant change that the caterpillar to butterfly brings forth. Within the Chyrsallis the caterpillar has to fully disintegrate (READ that – DIS- INTEGRATE) in order to re-form itself.
The process of dis-integration is generally not very comfortable nor is it encased in ease. It is usually uncomfortable, filled with emotion and can be confusing as we have to continually re-orient ourselves to our new self and the new world that we are also co-creating around us.
Carly is a shining example of being able to navigate the turmoil of change for me. She inspires me to go deeper at times that I want to remain on the surface. She reminds me in her young body of all of the things I used to do and sometimes reinvigorates practices that I had let fall off.
Most of all for me, she is such a beautiful light in my life that shows me how to both gracefully and inelegantly allow those vulnerable moments to be held in love and wisdom.
Yes, I fully embrace that I sowed those seeds in her, but I now get to reap the harvest of the beautiful fruit on her tree which she willingly shares with me.
I am so grateful for Carly. The joke is that I have had to birth my own best friend! And it’s true. I did and she is wonderful.
We are both so quickly evolving that it almost seems like much of what we shared has changed again already! Alas, that’s why the title is Embracing Change.
